Diversity Development Initiatives: Moving from Tolerance to Inclusion

Emerging Leaders

Developed expressly for high potential employees, this series of training sessions develops a solid foundation in leadership. The program includes the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personal assessment. Topics such as the role of corporate culture, communication for development, strategic management, creative and critical thinking, leadership basics and self-reflection, and cultural and generational diversity provide a leadership framework to support high potential employees as they grow into management positions. A critical element is the inclusion of corporate mentors from the employees' own company, adding a unique and relevant experience over the course of the programming. Mentors are provided a two-hour orientation.

Seven half-day sessions, one per month; includes personal assessment, company-provided mentoring, mentor orientation, capstone project, handouts and training.

Fundamental Skills of Management

Fundamental Skills of Management training teaches managers how to address a range of real-time management issues through theory, analysis, application, and exercises based on universal challenges. The program ensures concepts and skills learning in training sessions are reinforced and enables managers to apply new techniques in the workplace.

Seven daylong sessions, one per month; includes personal assessment, handouts, and training.
